Becoming an award-winning author and Para Boccia athlete has been an extraordinary journey.

In a relatively short time, Kyle has received numerous accolades beyond his wildest dreams. There are moments when he must pause and question if this is reality or merely a dream.

Words cannot fully convey Kyle's excitement and surprise upon receiving a call from the current principal of STM, informing him of his selection as one of the Distinguished Alumni for the 50th anniversary celebration. Kyle extends his gratitude to STM's Committee Members for choosing him alongside ten other remarkable alumni for the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award.

Kyle's memoir was not about receiving accolades and recognition; it was about sharing his story of living with cerebral palsy. His hope is to inspire and empower all who read his book. He aspires for the next generation of individuals with cerebral palsy to never give up, to fight for their desires, and to embrace life with all their dreams and strength to achieve their own goals. Nonetheless, Kyle is grateful for the accolades and celebrations of what was once a dream, now realized as a significant achievement. 

On behalf of his fellow alumni recipients, Kyle would like to express his appreciation for making STM's 50th Celebration an unforgettable event for all involved.

Kyle extends heartfelt thanks to his family, friends, and STM's staff for being present to accept the award. Additionally, he thanks the teachers, educational assistants, and special education department for their unwavering support over the years.
