Kyle is one of seventeen million individuals living with Cerebral Palsy, yet it does not define him. His life is distinct and somewhat more complex than most, but it is uniquely his own. As a result of having Cerebral Palsy, Kyle has become a stronger and more resilient person. Premature birth, being overdue, or being a twin can lead to CP. There are five types of cerebral palsy: spastic, ataxic, athetoid, hypotonic, and mixed.

On the morning of Kyle's birth, the medical staff was extremely busy due to an influx of newborns. As an overdue baby, Kyle unfortunately inhaled meconium, leading to neonatal asphyxia, which deprived him of oxygen long enough to cause physical harm, particularly to his brain.

Kyle is grateful to the OB who responded to an emergency call and lived just minutes from the hospital, performing the emergency C-section that saved his life. In that critical moment, Kyle's life took an unexpected turn.

Throughout his life, Kyle has been characterized by determination, a "Yes, I can!" attitude, and a profound love and respect for others. Bringing joy to others by making them laugh is immensely gratifying to him.

Life is full of surprises, and one's path may lead in unforeseen directions. Although Kyle knew that his chosen career field would be challenging—not due to a lack of knowledge, but because of his disability—he aspired to be like other designers. However, he believes that greater plans are in store for him.

Despite the obstacles he has faced, Kyle takes particular pride in publishing his book about living with cerebral palsy. The book aims to demonstrate that the disabled community shares the same feelings and emotions as everyone else. Regardless of physical differences, everyone has dreams and goals, and Kyle hopes his memoir will open hearts and minds worldwide.

Kyle can honestly say that his life changed after releasing his memoir. He has since aimed to connect with the global disabled community and parents of disabled children to offer support and advice. He wonders if this has been his calling all along. One thing is certain: he will not give up, for he is a CP Warrior!

During Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, Kyle is honored to have his article, "The Unseen Struggles of Cerebral Palsy," selected as a finalist in two categories of the International Mo2vate Awards: Best Overall and Most Inspirational Article.
