Kyle is sincerely honoured to be involved with OCPSA as it facilitates full participation in school life for over 500 students with disabilities through Hamilton's inaugural school-based para-sport program.
This initiative marks a significant advancement towards inclusion, equity, and opportunity. It underscores the message that physical challenges do not define one's ability, potential, or ambition. Through adaptive sports, students gain access not only to physical activity but also to opportunities for developing confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging.
Para-sport empowers students to view themselves as athletes—individuals who train, compete, and strive for excellence in their unique ways. With appropriate support, inclusive programming, and belief in their capabilities, students with physical disabilities can excel in sports and in life. This program opens doors, alters perceptions, and ensures that every student has the opportunity to be active, engaged, and celebrated as part of the school community.
