Boccia Canada Announces 2026 National Boccia Team - December 2026

Everyone has a vision, a dream, or a goal that lights up their life, whether it comes from the past or the present.

While some have successfully chased after their dreams, others have faced unexpected twists and turns but have still crafted a life that is right for them. Then there are those, like me, who have experienced a life-changing event that transformed their entire outlook on life. I'm living proof of how powerful change can be! My life plan was laid out early on—my education, finding a job, marrying, and starting a family. I proudly earned my Architecture Technician Diploma, even though the hunt was tough. In the end, what matters is that I have a post-secondary education.

All my plans have led me on a thrilling, unexpected journey, from becoming an author sharing my life with cerebral palsy to now being selected as a member of the Canadian National Boccia Team! I want to express my gratitude to all of the coaches from HCSA, Team Ontario and the Canadian National Team for having faith in me and forming me to become an elite athlete. To my parents, family, friends, teammates and everyone who has shown the greatest support I could ever ask for, I cannot thank you enough!Plans, dreams, and goals are important, but unexpected adventures can provide the greatest joy and fulfillment.

If you had asked me twenty years, or even five years ago whether I ever imagined being on this incredible journey, I would have answered, "I would have never imagined it."

Oh, and one last thing . . . LA28 here I come!!!
