During his childhood, Kyle participated in Sledge Hockey, Challenger Baseball for adapted sports, and various other activities with family and friends. Although he always aspired to compete at a high level such as the Paralympics, the likelihood seemed minimal.

Three years ago, this aspiration was revitalized when Kyle began playing Boccia. As a long-standing member of Boccia Canada and OCPSA, Kim was pleasantly surprised by Kyle's performance and recognized his potential. A few months after Kyle began competing, he was selected to join Team Ontario for the Canadian Boccia Championships in 2022, and he continues to be a member of the team.

Today, Kyle wishes to share an achievement he never imagined would become a reality. He is honored to be recognized as a "Rising Star" for Team Canada. Kyle is thrilled to make his international debut in Cali, Colombia on Sunday, October 6th, coinciding with World CP Day. He looks forward to collaborating with Kristyn and Olivier.

At this moment, Kyle would like to express his gratitude to his coach, Kim, for her mentorship and guidance. He extends thanks to the HCBA, now known as HCSA, for providing access to practice facilities. Kyle also appreciates the ongoing support from the coaching and management staff at Team Ontario, as well as his teammates who have embraced and supported him from the outset. Lastly, he acknowledges the coaching staff at Team Canada for recognizing his potential and offering this opportunity.

Finally, Kyle extends heartfelt thanks to his parents, family, friends, and the entire Boccia community for their unwavering support and encouragement.

Boccia remains an incredible journey, and Kyle eagerly anticipates taking his passion, skills, and determination to the international stage.

Flashback - October 2023

World CP Day is celebrated annually on October 6th, highlighting the physical, emotional, and mental challenges of living with cerebral palsy.

In recent years, Kyle has embraced his accomplishments as a reminder that if he believes in himself and pursues his current goals, he will persevere until they are achieved. Today is particularly significant for him as he makes his international debut in Cali, Colombia.

The photo was taken on October 29th of last year in Richmond, BC, unbeknownst to him that Mario, the High-Performance Director for Boccia Canada, along with the coaches, were observing closely.

Happy World CP Day!
